Knowledge of Quantum Hidden Variables Enables Backwards-In-Time Signaling

چکیده
Bell’s theorem implies that any completion of quantum mechanics which uses hidden variables (that is, preexisting values all observables) must be nonlocal in the Einstein sense. This customarily indicates knowledge would permit superluminal communication. Such signaling, akin to existence a preferred reference frame, is expected. However, here we provide protocol allows an observer with communicate her own causal past, without signaling. That such contradict causality, irrespectively validity relativity theory. Among ways propose for bypassing paradox there possibility change their even when state does not, and means signaling backwards time prohibited Bohmian mechanics.

Quantum Computing and Hidden Variables
This paper initiates the study of hidden variables from a quantum computing perspective. For us, a hidden-variable theory is simply a way to convert a unitary matrix that maps one quantum state to another, into a stochastic matrix that maps the initial probability distribution to the final one in some fixed basis. We list five axioms that we might want such a theory to satisfy, and then investi...
متن کاملHidden Variables and Commutativity in Quantum Mechanics
This paper takes up a suggestion that the reason we cannot find hidden variable theories for quantum mechanics, as in Bell’s Theorem, is that we require them to assign joint probability distributions on incompatible observables; these joint distributions are empirically meaningless on one standard interpretation of quantum mechanics. Some have proposed to get around this problem by using genera...
متن کاملToy Quantum Mechanics Using Hidden Variables
It is used to state that no local theory assuming any kind of evolving-in-time physical field (hidden variables) can reproduce the same predictions as standard quantum mechanics. Bell formulated a corresponding theorem in [1]. An advanced variant of the theorem was proposed in [2]. Feynman, in [3], stated another but analogous idea: not any classical computational device (even when probabilisti...
متن کاملCan hidden variables theories meet quantum computation?
We study the relation between hidden variables theories and quantum computation. We discuss an inconsistency between a hidden variables theory and controllability of quantum computation. To derive the inconsistency, we use the maximum value of the square of an expected value. We propose a solution of the problem by using new hidden variables theory. Also we discuss an inconsistency between hidd...
متن کاملDebugging Backwards in Time
By recording every state change in the run of a program, it is possible to present the programmer every bit of information that might be desired. Essentially, it becomes possible to debug the program by going “backwards in time,” vastly simplifying the process of debugging. An implementation of this idea, the “Omniscient Debugger,” is used to demonstrate its viability and has been used successf...
